The Shimmer fixed heel short swim fins are made from two types of silicone to maximize propulsion - the fin blade itself is made from a stiffer silicone, while the foot pocket is made from a softer silicone. This difference provides the necessary flexibility at the ankles, forcing them to stay stretched, while the blade itself is stiff enough to provide the most resistance to the water and thus propulsion for you.
The swim fins have a classic design that you probably know from the typical fins in swim fins - but here in a subdued dark blue and grey colour.
The fin blade itself is also made wider than usual to allow you to go further on each leg kick.
The Shimmer is made with a fixed heel, which provides the necessary support that especially recreational, beginner and kids' swimmers need and does not overload the joints around the ankle.
The two fins are made asynchronous for the most natural leg kick, which you can easily transfer to regular swimming without fins on. This means they don't bump into each other when you wear them.
On each side of the fins you'll find the hydrodynamic cylinders, which ensure that the water moves backwards during each kick and you move forward.
Underneath the swim fins, non-slip silicone modules have of course been added, so you can safely walk to and from the water - even on wet surfaces.
